Step #1 Finding Your Upper Limit

Do this by singing higher, until you cannot sing comfortably any longer. The highest you can sing without straining, is the top of your currently vocal range.

Step #2 Find what the top note is in your range

Use a guitar, piano, or other tuned instrument to assist you. To do this play notes on the instrument and then match them to your voice.

Any notes above the top of your vocal range will require some practice. The aim is to learn how to sing higher notes with quality vocal control and no strain.

Step #3 Span Your Vocal Break

As you reach the top of your range, there is a point where your voice changes in quality. Lower notes, are sung in your “chest voice,” like your speaking voice. This voice resonates deep in your throat or chest.

Eventually, your voice shifts to a higher sound that reverberates in the or back of your mouth. This can seem like a nasal voice, but that is not fair. It is the “head voice,” because it resonates in your head.

When a switch between voices occurs, you are reaching a vocal break. New singers have a challenge sing the notes above and below the break, but with practice, you can bridge this break and sing almost seamlessly with many songs.

Step #4 Develop your “mixed voice,”

“Mixed voice”, is a combination of your chest and head voice.

It develops with practice; few people come by it naturally. Once you have mastered it, you will be able to transition almost seamlessly.

To strengthen your mixed voice, practice notes around your vocal break. As you, sing higher, and higher, use a less of your chest voice and a bit more of your head voice. You can practice this skill by focusing on where notes resonate inside your throat and mouth, and putting some more emphasis on the “head” notes as you go along.

Eventually, you will move toward being able to place the notes wherever you want, making the transition from chest to head voice very smooth. Of course, like many things in life, very different outcomes can come to different people for doing the same thing.

Step #5 Learn to Breathe and use Your Diaphragm

When you breathe from your diaphragm, this can support the higher notes. If you do not have this, your head voice will sound thin and reedy, whereas with the support, your voice will sound rich and strong like your chest voice.

To improve this practice rationing your voice as you exhale a note. This means to let it out at a slower speed. Do this, helps you with sustaining higher notes and giving them the right amount of breath support.

Your diaphragm is the muscle in your stomach, which flexes when you laugh or exhale quickly. Spend time flexing it, when you sing to assist your high notes. Doing this will give them more power volume sound.

Let’s take a quick look at the top six exercises that you can do to build a killer upper body at home.

Push-Ups On An Exercise Ball

If there is one piece of equipment that you invest in to do your home workout program, an exercise ball should be it.  There are an limitless number of alternatives that you can do while using an exercise ball so these are really excellent for upping the intensity of your workout and improving your core muscle power.

While common push-ups are a fantastic way to work the chest and tricep muscles, push-ups on an exercise ball will really get you struggling .  Best of all, they’ll bring you one step nearer to getting absolutely ripped.

Reverse Grip Pull-Ups

The second physical exercise to do in a home workout program is reverse grip pull-ups.  These are nice because not only are they going to work the back muscles as they Commonly target but they’re also going to encourage the biceps to a larger extent.

This allows you to kill two birds with one stone since then you won’t have to add additional bicep curls to the mix either.  Just do your reverse grip pull-ups and you’ll be all set .

Plank On An Exercise Ball

Floor Presses

One exercise that very often gets overlooked by most people while creating their workout are floor presses.  This is actually a classic gymnastics move however can be very beneficial for enhancing overall upper body strength.

All you do to perform it is sit flat on the floor and then place both hands on the ground beside you.  From there you press upwards so the legs come directly off the floor wupwardshile tensing the abs to hold them in place.

Aim to hold this movement for as long as possible and then lower to the ground again.

Dips With Feet Elevated

Dips are a perfect motion for working the tricep muscle so this  really need to be added to the workout.   A good amount of people  do complain that the area under their triceps is a target trouble spot, these will firm that up nicely .

To add to the difficulty while performing tricep dips consider placing the feet up on an exercise ball in front of you which again is going to increase the intensity of the movement and make the muscle groups have to start working hard again. .

Prone Ball Roll In

Finally, the last exercise to add to your upper body at-home workout is the prone ball roll-in. Since this exercise has you in the prone position it’s going to challenge your muscles that much more intensely and will also hit the hip flexor muscles as well.

When doing this one you really want to think of bringing the ball into the chest in as controlled of a method as possible which will keep the constant pressure on those ab muscles.

So there you have all the main exercise to know when it comes to creating your workout program that will really boost the strength of the upper body and also get you looking great.

I would say that it usually takes about 6 hours to get my clothing washed and then dried completely. This is a little bit longer than it took with my independent models before .
